Local fire brigade champion in extinguisher at Regional competition

Flora’s barangay fire brigade strongly competed as the team placed first in one category and second and third in two other competitions during the Regional Fire Olympics held on October 8-10 at the Baguio State University (BSU) campus in Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet.

     The team was champion in the liquid fire extinguishment, first runner-up in bucket relay and third in busted hose connection.

Leading the charge for the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) uniformed personnel were SF02 Jhonny E.          Quimoyong, FO1 Arnold M. Fronda, FO1 Reymar V. Juan, FO1 Degan B. Balonggay and FO1 Melanie B. Adiwang.

Danilito Montanez of the Local Disaster and Risk      Reduction Management Office was also part of the delegation.

Poblacion East Baranggay chairman Manny Biggayan led the local Baranggay Fire    Brigade that included Kagawad Irwin Ubay, Richelle Pascua, Marina Domingo, Jenet Taneca, Bea Dobenson, Victor Calumpit, Samuel Monje, Alvin Gomez, Cornelio Luiz Jr., Franklin Labinay, Jowersly Viloria and Ryan Calumpit. The team’s muse was Normie Alawin, the reigning Libnos Ti Flora queen.

Teams from the different towns of Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) also competed in the three-day event.
