Mayor Rodolfo B. Juan’s message to maiden issue of Kabinnulig News

Vol. 1 Issue No. 1, November-December 2015 … page 4

There ought to be a local government that understands homegrown difficulties, both at its basic and peak without any covert reservations, under the rubric of a consultative administration.

Albeit there are no ready-made formulas for solving public problems, time and experience has afforded me direct access with folks in the alleys of the Poblacion up to the hills of Atok, such firsthand dialogues with our people being necessary to evolve patterns that will serve the ends of good government (or in its rational and objectively secular conception, may at least be approximated). I want to believe that local governance is a practical matter, and local issues must be dealt with realistically not from the standpoint of pure theory. And what is more practical than applying what every law paramountly advocates for —  the welfare of the people.

In fine, let us hold in abeyance our individual persuasions and share ideas in brining about “the greatest good to the greatest number” so that the civilized best of our people will always be upheld.

My prayer envisioned for a more prosperous municipality through a one-hearted and spiritually-guided populace. Let us then join hands in one track. Mabuhay KABINNULIG NEWS!
