Drawing strong support from various sectors of the local community, Flora Central School (FCS) retained the honor as being the country’s best implementer of Brigada Eskwela in 2015.
The award was given on Nov. 25, 2015 at the Tanghalang Pasigueno, in Pasig City for the national award for Best Implementing School (Big Elementary School Category).
Before that, FCS was named best implementer of the 2015 regional search which was announced at the Department of Education Cordillera Administrative Regional Office in Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet last Nov. 24, 2015.
FCS Principal Resty Leaño presented both trophies to Mayor Rodolfo Juan and Vice Mayor Jessica De San Jose during the flag ceremony on Dec. 21, 2015.
Leaño said the challenge is to strengthen the partnership among stakeholders.
She said that the strong support from a very cooperative teachers, the able leadership of school heads in the implementation, participation from the Local Government Unit and non-government organizations remained the biggest impact in bagging anew the top spot in the annual awards.
FCS was installed into the Brigada Eskela Hall of Fame in 2012 and is now becoming a tradition for all stakeholders to do their share.
To keep the tradition intact, FCS will continue to improve in its implementation efforts and address some lapses as well as to motivate some parents who were not very active to also join them.
Organizing the alumni association is also part of these efforts.
