All set for KABINNULIG FESTIVAL

It’s all systems go for the annual town fiesta on June 20-22 with the usual highlights that include the Kabinnulig float competition, dance contest, sports events and other innovations.
One of the regular main events being skipped from this year’s program is the Libnos ti Flora beauty and brains pageant.

But there will be a Little Miss and Mr. Flora contest, instead.
Another new part of the program will be the Cultural Night on June 21 being organized by Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative Richard De San Jose.
Mayor Rodolfo B. Juan told chairmen and members of the various organizing committees that he expects a smooth preparation during a meeting on May 12 at the legislative session hall.
Other key highlights will be a medical mission (blood-letting and dental check-up), indigenous games and talent search, street dancing competition, carabao race and modern dance competition.
The new set of duly elected public officials will be taking their oath of office on June 22 as part of the Flora Day celebrations.
Inter-barangay sports competitions in men’s basketball and women’s volleyball have started immediately after the parade of teams and opening ceremonies on May 27 at the Dr. Efren U. De San Jose Memorial Sports Center.
