The newly-elected public officials of the Municipality of Flora will be sworn-in to office on Flora Day June 22, 2016 during the KABINNULIG FESTIVAL at the Efren U. De San Jose Memorial Sports Complex.

The date had been finalized during an informal meeting called by Mayor-elect Rodolfo B. Juan and Vice Mayor-elect Jessica De San Jose last May 12 at the SB session hall where earlier on the same day the different organizing committees on the annual town fiesta have reported on the current preparations.

The swearing-in will be part of the day’s activities during the second day of the Kabinnulig Festival which is held from June 20-22.

Winning members of the Sangguniang Bayan are David Tabbaban, Jessie Pascua, Vic Maruquin, Aniceta Cacacho, Clapton De San Jose, Demetrio Conde Jr., Florendo Conde and Sergio Sabbun III, in that order.

They will assume office on June 30 along with Indigenous People’s Mandatory Representative Richard U. De San Jose who will be also joining the oath taking ceremonies.

Meanwhile, the seat for the Ex-officio Member for the LnB will be held vacant until after the oath taking ceremonies.

But MLGOO Norman Venus said that the election of officers might be held on July 4.

The current LnB president is Jeofrey Blas, chairman of Barangay Sta. Maria, but who is still serving as the Ex-officio Member in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Apayao.
